Bulbs 2011

Application:
Aeroport at International Film Festival Karlovy Vary
Designblock 2011 Prague.

Within these two events about fifteen light objects were installed, consisting of 300 ordinary 25W bulbs, sockets, wiring and glass construction.
This choice of light source such as “bulbs” matches a structurally simple shape, continuously adjustable brightness, continuous spectrum of light, flat light used in larger spaces. The intention was to create objects upside-down; in contrast to the usual concept of a construction with a bulb built into it, we used light - the bulbs - as an element of the construction itself.

Tunnel vision 2011

Tachovské náměstí, Prague

This project was created under the Institute of Light design within the scope of Prague Quadrianalie 2011. On this project cooperate together Jan Rolník, Michaela Prchlíková, Eva Novakova and Martina Procházková.

Resorting to IP cameras, projectors, projection screens, lights and sound, we have created an interactive multimedia installation in an underground tunnel, in Vítkov. A characteristic feature was the current record of infinity, where was impossible to meet with its alter ego. However, other observers were able to meet with twins of others.

LIGHT GRAPHIC 2011

Site-specifi c instalation for church Zvěstování panně Marii in Litoměřice.

The installation deals with the geometric solution of Baroque architecture, which includes elements of rhythmic sinuosity and twilight game (chiaroscuro), that fully refl ect the composition of baroque space.

This principle of spatial compositional themes is transmitted from the central body to the interdependent secondary space. I achieved through combination of geometric circles which are transformed into a twilight game (chiaroscuro) through the use of programmed light sources. I perceive light as a „matter“ that fills the space and create graphic records of convex and concave order. Changing the light intensity forms a „living“space.
